Amber Guggemos
~Artist~
Hello, my name is Amber and this is my art portfolio for my senior year of high school. This portfolio goes over all of the art pieces I have created this years and in recent years. I hope you enjoy seeing my artistic growth
throughout the past few years.

I have wanted to be some form of artist ever since I was a child. For a long time I wanted to be an animtor, but in highschool I realised I dont have enough patience for it. I started with traditional art using regular markers and colored pencils. Then for a long time I solely made digital art, but in recent years I transitioned into traditional art once again. Using mediums such as Prismacolor colored pencils, acrylic paint, and charcoal, I have
also worked on a few murals. My goal in my artwork is to grow
and learn with each piece & I hope to make pieces
that people find aesthetically pleasing.

My most important tool would have to be reference images. They can be very helpful when I’m not sure how to draw something, and can help bring inspiration to a piece. Reference images can help me draw someone anatomically correct and make it more realistic.

The most valuable thing I learned in AP art this year is time management. I learned that deadlines come faster than they seem and balancing time for art and the rest of my school work is harder than I first anticipated. Pieces I would expect to take a few hours would end up taking several days and I had to learn how fast I can make a piece of art. In the end I got all my pieces
in but overall I wish I had spread my time out better.
